UPDATE!! Andre Deshaun McKinney, 40, is accused of driving the red Chevrolet Trailblazer that led police on the chase. He is charged with felony evading in a motor vehicle and theft. The chase began around 4pm Friday on the Gulf Freeway near NASA Parkway after McKinney and his passenger, 60-year-old James Pruitt, were allegedly spotted trying to break into cars in a Clear Lake-area Walmart parking lot. During the chase, Pruitt opened the passenger door and tumbled out of the vehicle while it was moving. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital with neck and back injuries.
